The main landmark of Veliko Tarnovo. An extensive fortress with numerous buildings and towers, a palace and a large church on top. The interior of the church is extremely impressive in style. I recommend buying a talk to learn a lot of interesting details.

Definitely worth a visit. It would take 2 or 3 hours to go around completely. It is sunny everywhere on the trails, so it is recommended to take water, a hat and sunglasses. There are several main attractions. In several places you can climb the wall, and the view from almost everywhere is incredible.

Many countries are famous for their fortresses, and Bulgaria doesn't have many, but Tsarevets is the grandest of them all and well worth seeing. The Sound and Light Show is something few other countries can boast of.

This is the most impressive and preserved fortress in Bulgaria. It is worth visiting because the place is very well maintained and is great for a walk. It also offers a spectacular show called "sound and light" which is presented during the dark part of the day on national holidays and on city days. I recommend!
